I am Celeste Heldstab also known as Lady Elaine to many of you. I am an eclectic Solitary Witch living in the heart of the Bible belt in Louisiana. I have been practicing my path for almost 25 years and cooking and sharing recipes for far longer than that....magick begins in the kitchen. The things we prepare each day for our families and friends are very special and can harbor the energies that we think as we create them. In this day of so much fear and anger, so much despair and depression, it is extremely important to do the daily ritual of preparing our food in a sacred way. When you do this, joy and laughter, prosperity and abundance can manifest itself into your lives...it is my hope that "The Kitchen Grimoire" and this wonderful place called Pagan Kitchen can help you achieve a more abundant, loving and joyous life.....

To me, the kitchen has always been a place where family and friends gather together in fellowship, as well as the place where we prepared our meals. My fondest memories are of times spent with loved ones in the ritual of preparing and eating these meals. In today's society, much of this preparation is taken for granted in the "instant" and "microwave" world where we now live. There are recipes that were passed down for generations in both of our families, and along with the recipes, were the stories and the history behind them... We hope that by sharing the following, we can give you some ideas for your own family celebrations. May you spin your own web of memories for the next generation to carry into the future...
